GrowEmity

Plant growth, budding and blooming mainly depends on the light emitted. Luminous radiation takes different effects depending on wavelength and intensity of light emit, plant species and stage of growth. A light with wavelength in the range 380-520 nm is mainly absorbed by chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B and wavelength in the range 610-750 nm is mainly absorbed by phytochrome Pr or Pfr.

For example, light with wavelength about 730 nm stimulates plant growth, but light with wavelength about 660 nm support growth of leaf, buds and flowers. Blue color supports vegetative growth and rooting of plants during the breeding season.

LEDs generate radiation with narrower spectrum than sodium lamps, so plants are absorbing more light energy. LEDs also generate less heat than HPS lamps, this allows them to be used for illuminating plants from the side or bottom. GrowEmity light sources allow to fit spectrum for plant species by choosing appropriate LEDs and regulating power of each channel. For example, four channel GrowEmity 3x11 – K177 modules, depending on the needs, they can be produced with different LEDs color configuration:

  • Far Red 730 nm,
  • Red 660 nm,
  • Blue 465 nm,
  • Deep Blue 450 nm,
  • White with different colour temperature.
